Aspen's Army
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much

WHO IS ASPEN AND WHY AN ARMY?

Through our lived experiences we realized there was a large lack of resources for our juveniles with mental health concerns. At the age of 6 years old, Aspen was admitted to the inpatient facility for the first of six total stays in the mental health inpatient facilities. Through that experience, we learned how many families go through that very struggle and need help getting through the process. We knew how limiting and lonely that felt and decided to do something about it! Thus forming Mending Minds Village. At age 9, Aspen is doing better than ever and wanted to help support children going through similar experiences, thus forming Aspen’s Army. Aspen is very much a day-to-day part of this group, and her thoughts on how to help these kids provides us with direction and ideas on what to do!
